Nowaday, most of people tend to learn English at school instead of local language. In my point, English is good, but there’s nothing can alternate our mother language. It’s a wrong perspective and should be fixed at all.

First, im not against the necessary of English even in working or learning. Without English, it will be hard to study and deal with opposite from other countries. For example, at the present, many documents for learning were written by english. Have a good English talent is alway better than use translate tools like google or cambridge dictionary. However, put English above local languages could lead to many dangerous consequences.

Local language represent for traditionals, cultural identities of your area. Imagine how the foreigners look at you as a man with no hometown. No one can suffer that bullet eyes. It’s very harmful especially if you working. You can lost a billion deal just because you can’t speak by your local voice. From this potential risk, we saw the important of keeping local language survive. We can start with smallest activities such as watching local manufacturing films or use social internet platform, which was translated to your mother language. Beside, in my point, the best way to practice your local language is get out of your electric devices, for example your phone, computer,…. and communicate, talk with people who live in your hometown. I was very bad every time i used my mother language when i still studied in primary school. So i choosed to talk more with people who live close to me. It resulted in help me better of using local language.

In Conclusion, English is good, but not a thing that could alternate what borned you. Protect your local language is very important and it’s very easy, stem form smallest behaviors, focus on use your language fluently and often.
