The graph below shows the proportion of four different materials that were recycled from 1982 to 2010 in a particular country.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Answer

The line graph illustrates significant proportion of four recycled materials from in a particular country in the 28-year period.
Overall, it is noticeable that paper and cardboard and glass containers’ percentage were recorded from 1982 while other figures were recorded in 1986 and 1990. The rate of paper and cardboard reused dominated the chart.
Ranking first of the line graph, Paper and cardboard’s figure dramatical flutuated in the first 12 years surveyed, from 65%(1982), 70%(1986) to 80%( 1994). Notstandingwith the ladder, its figure was witnessed by a slight decline by 10% in the remaining years. Between 1982 and 1990, the rate of Glass containers decreased moderately by 10%, from 50% to 40%. the period from 1990 to 2010 conveyed an unstable upward trend in Glass containers’s data. It rose overwhelmingly in the first 4 years and went up by 10% in the next remaining years.
The gap between the second rank and the third rank went down successively in the surveyed period. Aluminium cans rate of recycling, rank third of the chart, was seen a enormous improvement in whole recorded period, from modest rate in 1986 to more 40% in 2010. A slight increase was witnessed in Plastic recycled rate. It reached is highest point at 10% in the end of the conveyed period.

Write about the following topic:

Learning English at school is often seen as more important than learning local languages. If these are not taught, many are at risk of dying out. 

In your opinion, is it important for everyone to learn English? Should we try to ensure the survival of local languages and, if so, how?

 

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Answer

It is believed that learing English during primary levels of education is often seen more fundamental than learning local languages. To a certain extent, i agree with this statement.
There are many reasons why English is significantly important for learners.
Firstly, More than 60 coutries use English as their national language, so being a good English users brings many meaningful study and work opportunities. Becaming a good user in English helps people using it enrich their knowledge about various cuturals in the world.
Secondly, million of people following higher theoretical educations around the world. Being knowlegdeable in English is the key of improving their career’s theorem because there are many useful documentary and scientific researches written in English.
Moreover, Learning English is important to adventurous young people who have many oppoturinities to travel numerous coutries in the world. It helps it users communicate with more new peoples, experience more new cuturals .
In the other hand, Learning local languages is also important.
Primaryly, Local language is the definition of cultural diversity. It symbol for man’s cutural and orgin. For example, as a representative of their countries, ministers have a good knowlegde in many different languages around the world. They even use them like native speakers. However, in important international meetings, they use their mother tongues . It helps them define and advertise their cultures to other countries. Many excellent students, who have won many higher scholarships, are the ethics. They never forget their ancestors, so they shows their gratitudes by always remembering their local languages.
However, local languages ersion is a negative trend that has recorded in many countries. Lack of understanding the importance of local language is the root cause. Therefore, there are many ways to ensure the survival of local languages. Firstly, local schools should teach local language’s subject as compulsory subject. It help improve the conciousness of the young. Besides, Spreading local languages in digital platforms is an effective solution. For instance, establishing local channels on TV to attract more viewers.
In conclusion, learning English plays an important role for student at school. However, local languages need to be preserved to the future generations to protect the cutural diversity.
