Answer

The ascendancy of English as a global lingua franca has entrenched its preeminence in educational paradigms, often eclipsing the significance of vernacular languages. This linguistic monopolization, while instrumental in facilitating transnational discourse, technological proliferation, and economic globalization, precipitates the inexorable attrition of indigenous tongues, which encapsulate invaluable ethnolinguistic heritage and epistemological frameworks. The obsolescence of these languages not only erodes cultural pluralism but also obliterates the unique semiotic and cognitive paradigms inherent to their lexicons. To counteract this linguistic homogenization, a polycentric approach is imperative—emphasizing multilingual pedagogy, leveraging digitized lexicographic archives, and revitalizing endangered languages through sociocultural integration. By harmonizing linguistic globalization with vernacular preservation, societies can reconcile the exigencies of modernity with the imperatives of cultural perpetuation.
