The recycling rate of recyclable items has been increasing year by year. Paper and cardboard are the most recycled materials year by year, while plastics have the lowest recycling rate. Aluminum and plastic are the materials that cause the most environmental pollution but the recycling rate is too low. Glass, paper and cardboard were the most recycled materials globally between 1982 and 2010.Authorities should take measures to recycle recyclable items to best contribute to protecting the living environment and the ozone layer on earth. In addition to recycling, we should also raise awareness to protect the clean and green environment.
